I am an ex Head of Department at Norwich High School, having taught for nearly forty years.  I retired three years ago.  I was very involved in the wider life of the school, as well as being an active member of a professional association of teachers in Norfolk.  Two of my children attended Fram and were successful and happy in their time at the school.  I am fully and happily retired but miss the interesting challenges and variety of students, colleagues and school life.  I would like to think I have the knowledge and understanding of education, as well as common sense and a balanced approach to relevant issues to make a useful contribution to a Governing Body. Member F&R Committee,

SIDP Aim 7 Lead Governor.

Jamie Mather

Co-opted Governor

I have only joined the governing body fairly recently having moved back to Norfolk after completing my paediatric nurse training at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals and King’s College in London. I am now working at the NNUH in paediatric A&E, which I was first inspired to do, when at FEHS as a pupil between 2006-2011. When I am not at work, I volunteer for St John Ambulance and look after 25 groups of St John badgers and cadets (like cubs and scouts) in Norfolk as the District’s Youth Lead, attend large events in my nursing capacity and train and assess first aid for SJA members and members of the public/local community. What little time I have left, I spend with my other half, Lucy, cycling and walking around Norfolk’s beautiful countryside! We live locally with our lovely cat Managanui (named after a mountain in New Zealand). I’m looking forward to getting to grips with being a governor and particularly keen to be in school, when I can, meeting staff and students to understand the application of our strategic decisions to everyday school life!
